Environmental Geology

An overview of near-surface geological systems and human interaction with them, followed by a topical discussion of key geo- societal issues including, but not limited to, earthquake hazards, landslides, water pollution, waste disposal, and health risks posed by radon and asbestos. Spring term annually. Includes laboratory and one Saturday field trip.
