Atmospheric Chemistry

The course presents important thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of reactions in the atmospheric layer. Consideration is given to transport phenomena in determining atmospheric compositions and kinetics. Applications of principles to upper atmospheric and lower (air pollution) atmospheric cases are discussed. Prerequisites: CHEM-2250, CHEM-2260, CHEM-4400 or equivalent or permission of instructor. Offered on availability of faculty.
