Campus Community Supports Annual Winter Carnival
Last month, members of the campus community and their families and friends attended the Absolute Zero Winter Carnival held at the East Campus Athletic Village.
The free event featured a series of winter-themed carnival activities, food, and inflatable games. The event also featured several Winter Olympic-themed races that included a human dog sled race, a three-legged race, an egg on a spoon race, and a ball balance race, where individuals had to balance a soccer ball between the heads of teammates. Additional activities included photos with Puckman, musical performances, fire performers, and much more.
The day wrapped up with the annual “Whiteout” men’s hockey game, followed by a fireworks display.
The carnival is supported by the Office of the President and members of the Cabinet. Event coordinators included Residence Life, the Rensselaer Union, Habitat for Humanity, the Red & White Student Organization, Terra Café, the Inter-fraternity Council, the Juggling Club, Sodexho, and the Student Advisory Council of the School of Engineering.
