Lally Appoints Assistant Director of MBA and M.S. Career Resources
Michael Breslin has been appointed to serve as assistant director of MBA and M.S. Career Resources at the Lally School of Management and Technology.
In this position, Breslin will work to advance the mission of the MBA and M.S. Career Office in many ways, including student career advising, interview skills preparation, cover letter skills, skills assessment and development, job search processes, and a variety of career-related activities designed to prepare Lally’s graduate degree candidates for their professional engagements beyond the classroom.
“Michael brings solid experience, job preparation techniques, and strategies in career development that will help our MBA and M.S. students utilize the extraordinary resources at Rensselaer and best prepare for the job market,” said Tom Begley, dean of the Lally School. “His enthusiasm and knowledge in this field will enhance the abilities of the Lally School to provide ongoing support to these students as they navigate their career interests and goals, and ultimately, gain employment with a great company or organization.”
Breslin has 10 years of experience in career development. Prior to joining Rensselaer, he worked for The Sage Colleges as the assistant director of career planning. Breslin earned an MBA from The Sage Colleges and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Union College.
“I am very excited to be joining the Lally School of Management and Technology,” said Breslin. “In the coming months, my initial plans are to get to know as many members of the Lally community as possible and get the message out that I am, and will continue to be, dedicated to advising our MBA and M.S. students on all aspects of their careers. My presence represents Lally’s commitment to the ongoing success of our students, both while they are here and as they transition into their post-master’s careers.”
