Annual Reunion Connects Recipients of Herman Family Fellowship
Current and past recipients of the Herman Family Fellowship Award for Women in Entrepreneurship, from both the Rensselaer Lally School and the University of Chicago Booth School, joined together this fall at the annual reunion. The event was hosted by the Herman Family and the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
The fellowship has been funded annually by the Herman Family Foundation, and established by Rensselaer Board of Trustee Michael Herman ’62 and his wife, Karen.
For the Rensselaer fellows, the prestigious award is given to women in entrepreneurship enrolled in the MBA program at the Rensselaer Lally School.
These reunions feature panel presentations by female entrepreneurs and networking sessions for the Herman Fellows to connect and discuss their entrepreneurial efforts.
In addition to the annual reunions, the fellowship offers a scholarship to cover tuition, and also includes career mentoring, access to a network of professional women entrepreneurs, and business experience.
The two most recent Rensselaer Lally students to receive this award are Cathy Wheelock ’13 MBA and Virginia Lai ’14 MBA.
