EMPAC Presents musikFabrik According to EMPAC, “cutting-edge compositions juxtapose with 20th century masterpieces in a performance that will push the boundaries of technical and artistic innovation.” Cologne-based musikFabrik is a leading contemporary music ensemble dedicated to artistic innovation. New, unknown, unusual, and often personally commissioned works are typical of their productions. They perform in over 100 concerts a year in Germany and abroad, at festivals, in their own series “musikFabrik in WDR,” and in regular radio recordings and CD productions. The performance will feature John Cage’s Concert for Piano and Orchestra; Interference by Richard Barrett; and Paramirabo by Claude Vivier. This concert is presented with support from the Goethe-Institut New York. The performance begins at 6 p.m. in the EMPAC Concert Hall. Admission is free.
