International Scholars Program Plans Summer Term in Rome and Shanghai
The International Scholars Program (ISP) offered through the Hartford campus is currently recruiting for the 2012 class, which begins with the summer term abroad. The ISP is the only program of its kind offering an accelerated career-building opportunity through a global learning experience in Europe and Asia.
Students study international business through cultural immersion while earning credits toward a Rensselaer Master of Science degree in either management or an engineering discipline, or an MBA. Site visits to multinational corporations, meetings with business and technological leaders in global industry, and the opportunity to develop contacts provide participants with a competitive advantage over other candidates seeking employment.
Prospective ISP applicants are encouraged to watch a series of ISP videos providing a program overview, comments from students and faculty about the experience, and background information about faculty and support staff. To view the videos, go to www.ewp.rpi.edu/isp/media/index.html. For a slide show of images from Rome, Italy, and Shanghai, China, go to www.ewp.rpi.edu/isp/isp_photos0710/index.html.
Virtual Information Sessions (VIS) allow interested candidates to learn more about the program without traveling to the Hartford campus. Presentations last approximately 20 minutes and include the opportunity for questions.
The next ISP VIS is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 29, at 6 p.m. Participants can register for this free session at ewp.rpi.edu/isp/index.html.
