Jonas Braasch To Lead CCC The Office for Research has announced that Jonas Braasch has been appointed director of the Center for Cognition, Communication, and Culture (CCC) at Rensselaer, which will celebrate its formal launch on Nov. 13 (see story). Most recently an associate professor in the School of Architecture, Braasch teaches in the graduate program in architectural acoustics and began his career with Rensselaer in 2006. “Dr. Braasch has been involved in envisioning and planning for the center. His own research is at the intersection of architecture, acoustics, and music, and represents a prime example of the multidisciplinary work that is at the core of the center’s mission. I am certain the center will flourish under his leadership.” “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Jonas Braasch as the first director of the Center for Cognition, Communication, and Culture,” said Jonathan Dordick, vice president for research. “Dr. Braasch has been involved in envisioning and planning for the center.
