Traditions Continue With Reunion & Homecoming Weekend Rensselaer’s largest alumni tradition takes place Oct. 5-7, as a crowd of more than 3,000 alumni and guests is expected to take part in Reunion & Homecoming festivities. Members of the campus community are welcome to attend a majority of the programs and events. “Rensselaer at 200: Refreshing The Rensselaer Plan” with President Shirley Ann Jackson Current Greeks are invited to join with Greek alumni for a reception and friendly competition to see which house makes the best chowder. Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences Celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Department of the Arts and 30th Anniversary of the Department of Science and See HASS Celebration article for more details on the many exhibits, performances, open houses, and programs that make up this exciting celebration. Mars Curiosity Program FanFest This carnival midway will include food, performances by Rensselaer’s student a cappella groups, games, and more. Physics Magic Show Mad scientist Aidyl Gonzalez-Serricchio ’94 presents outlandish and visually stunning physics and chemistry demonstrations with audience participation. Fun for scientists of all ages! Reunion & Homecoming will also have a presence on social media, both leading up to and during the weekend.
