Receives Georgetown Honorary Degree
Arthur Gajarsa ’62 (left), chairman of the Rensselaer Board of Trustees, received an honorary degree—Doctor of Law, Honoris Causa—from the Georgetown University Law Center at its 2012 Commencement ceremonies on May 20. Judge Gajarsa received a law degree from Georgetown in 1967 and serves on its Board of Advisers as chairman of its Audit and Law Committees. He has served as a judge on the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals since 1997. Prior to serving as appeals judge, Judge Gajarsa also worked for the government at the Department of Commerce, Department of the Interior, and Department of Defense. Judge
