Here’s to Old RPI!
RPI Spirit Day
Friday, Feb. 3
Rensselaer students, faculty, and staff are invited to join alumni around the country—and the world!—in showing their Rensselaer pride on Friday, Feb. 3, for RPI Spirit Day.
Alumni Relations is encouraging everyone to wear Rensselaer gear to work or class, and display their Rensselaer pride for everyone to see. “It can be as simple as wearing red—anything to show the world that you are a proud member of the Rensselaer community,” said Jeff Schanz, assistant vice president for alumni relations.
Members of the Rensselaer community are also being encouraged to show their pride virtually by changing their online profile pic or avatar to a Rensselaer-related image. Several icons are featured on the RPI Spirit Day website.
The SEFCU branch in the Rensselaer Union holds a drawing every Friday for members of the Rensselaer community who show their Rensselaer spirit. If you stop by the branch in your Rensselaer gear, you will be entered in a drawing to win iTunes gift cards.
Spirit Day is taking place in conjunction with Big Red Freakout, which is Saturday, Feb. 4.
