Hartford Campus Offers Licensing Exam Review Programs for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors

Rensselaer at Hartford has prepared well over 2,000 engineers studying to pass the Fundamentals in Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, as well as the Land Surveyor Exam. The state exams will be held in April and October 2012, and the Hartford campus will offer the exam review programs during the Spring 2012 term for both exam sittings.

The success of students who have taken the reviews has made Rensselaer at Hartford’s Professional Engineering (PE) and Land Surveyor (LS) exam review programs the most popular of their kind in the area.

Teams of practicing professional engineers and members of Rensselaer at Hartford’s engineering faculty are selected to teach in their specific areas of expertise. Experts in each of the specific engineering areas review and solve problems judged to be representative of the type and complexity encountered in the examination. Students review study tips and fundamental concepts, in addition to solving problems similar to those on the exams.

A free open house will be held at the Hartford campus on Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. This is an opportunity to review the application process with the State of Connecticut exam administrator and to get answers to specific questions from program faculty.

Refreshments will be served and free parking is available on site. To reserve a seat at the open house, contact Sue Kramer at (860) 548-2472, toll-free at (800) 433-4723, ext. 2472, or at krames2@rpi.edu.
