EMPAC Presents
AKOUSMA at EMPAC

The Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) will present international works across the spectrum of electronic music from this year’s AKOUSMA festival in Montreal, featuring artists from France, Canada, and Argentina playing live music over a 16-channel audio system. The performance begins at
8 p.m. in Studio 2. Tickets are $18/$13/$6.

In this interdisciplinary lecture, renowned art historian James Elkins will discuss the differential role images play across the departments of a university. Elkins is the E.C. Chadbourne Professor in the Department of Art History, Theory, and Criticism at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The talk begins at 6 p.m. in EMPAC Studio 2. Admission is free. A limited number of complimentary light dinners will be served at 6 p.m. to enjoy as part of the talk.
