Chapel + Cultural Center Presents An Evening of Art and Music Feb. 3

The Chapel + Cultural Center is exhibiting the Blind Artists Society’s third annual exhibition through Feb. 25. An artists’ opening reception will be held on Thursday, Feb. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. The work of artists Emilia Beer, Jonathan Beer, Anne Carrabis, Aileen Cinquemani, Bill Edmonston, Joel Foster, Barbara Garro, Ian McKay, Dick Morrill, Barbara Romain, and Arlissa Vaughn are featured.

The Blind Artists Society was founded in 2007 as a community of artists suffering from visual loss. It provides a means for the artists to gain exposure for their work in online and gallery settings, and to communicate experiences and feelings as a support group. This event is also supported by the Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany.

Following the reception, well-known recording artists Sonny and Perley will present a concert from the Great American Songbook and International Cabaret from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
