Call for Nominations: RAA Awards Program

The Rensselaer Alumni Association is currently accepting nominations for the annual RAA Awards Program. Recipients will be recognized at the annual RAA Awards Dinner, which will be held during Reunion & Homecoming Weekend, on Friday, Oct. 15. The descriptions of the RAA Awards are listed below and the link to the nomination form can be found at http://www.alumni.rpi.edu/RAAawardsnom.pdf.

Distinguished Service Award: This award is the highest award that the Rensselaer Alumni Association (RAA) bestows, and recognizes distinguished service by alumni or non-alumni to Rensselaer, to a profession, to the nation, or to humanity. One award is presented each year.

Albert Fox Demers Medal: This award is the second highest award that the RAA bestows, and was established to recognize and stimulate interest in the welfare of the Institute by either alumni or non-alumni. A maximum of four awards may be presented each year.

Alumni Key Award: This award recognizes outstanding service in support of the advancement of Rensselaer (such as chapters, classes, fund raising, and special events), by either alumni or non-alumni. A maximum of nine awards may be presented each year.

RAA Teaching Award: This award recognizes current members of the Rensselaer faculty for their outstanding teaching techniques, contributions to the campus experience, and commitment to students. One award is presented each year.

The deadline to submit award nominees is Friday, April 30. Nomination forms should be sent to Joyce Kelly Martin in the Office of Alumni Relations at martij@rpi.edu.
