Graham Doig ’79 has been named the director of the Information Technology Infrastructure department. According to John Kolb ’79, chief information officer, Doig, who has served as acting director over the past three years, “has brought a high level of technical knowledge and expertise to this information infrastructure leadership position. His impact has not been confined to just the Troy campus; he has effectively extended the network reach of Rensselaer throughout the Capital District with projects that have provided network redundancy as well as high-speed communication to and from both the CCNI and WMHT in the Rensselaer Technology Park.” Graham started his Rensselaer professional career in 1981. Since then he has held a number of systems and network programming positions and, more recently, progressive management responsibility in the area of networking and telecommunications infrastructure.
