Relay for Life April 23-24
The fifth annual Relay for Life, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, will be held on the ’86 Field April 23-24 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Relay for Life is a community event that celebrates the lives of cancer survivors, and remembers those who have lost their battle with this devastating disease. Last year’s Relay for Life event at Rensselaer had 1,332 participants and 28 survivors, and raised $85,344.

The Relay for Life committee is working to recruit more cancer survivors for this year’s event. “If you have family, friends, or colleagues who have fought and beat cancer, please encourage them to participate in this powerful event,” said Julienne Labrecque ’10, a materials science and engineering student and member of the Relay for Life Survivorship committee. To find out how to get involved, survivors can go to the Relay for Life Web site, or contact Labrecque at labrej@rpi.edu.
