EMPAC Presents:
Wayne McGregor | Random Dance ENTITY Feb. 26 and 27
The Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) will host ENTITY by the multi-award-winning London-based dance company Wayne McGregor | Random Dance. EMPAC presents this “awe-inspiring” (The Observer) new work that brings together the fierce kinetics and formal rigor of Wayne McGregor | Random Dance with a torrential sound-score by Jon Hopkins (Massive Attack and Coldplay) and Joby Talbot (The Divine Comedy, White Stripes), framed by multiple, moving video screens.

An inquiry into the relationship between the working mind and the dancing body, this stunning performance was created through ongoing collaborations with research scientists in neurology and psychology. With its high-impact dance, large-scale video projections, and propulsive music, ENTITY further establishes Wayne McGregor | Random Dance as a potent, original force in contemporary dance.

Wayne McGregor | Random Dance will be performing ENTITY at the end of a two-week residency at EMPAC, during which they will investigate tools, ideas, and visual design concepts for their current work-in-progress, the sequel to ENTITY.

ENTITY will be performed in the EMPAC Theater on Friday, Feb. 26, and Saturday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15/10/5. For more information, go to the EMPAC Web site at www.empac.rpi.edu or call 276-3921.
