2010 Employee Recognition Dinner

Human Resources recently hosted the 38th annual Employee Service Recognition and Retirement Dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn. Employees who have completed service in five-year increments were honored, as well as employees who retired during the last fiscal year.

“This evening, we recognized the multifaceted contributions of 170 Rensselaer employees, whose combined service to the Institute totals 2,911 years, “ said President Jackson in her remarks. “Each of you has reached a milestone in your career and in your life. Whether you are retiring, someone with five years, or one of the 32 people who have been with us for more than three decades, now you can, and you should, pause to congratulate yourself on your important work. Your contributions are enabling, building, and shaping a better future.”

“This annual event is a wonderful Rensselaer tradition and a time to reflect on the contributions and commitments that all of you have made during your career at Rensselaer,” said Curtis Powell, vice president for human resources. “Rensselaer continues to rank among the top 50 universities in our nation, and is recognized as one of the best employers in the Capital Region. Rensselaer employees continue to be the best in what they do. We are here this evening to recognize each honoree and to say thank you.”
