Suzanne Morris Joins Office of the President
The Office of the President has announced the appointment of Suzanne Morris as the new executive assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff at Rensselaer.
In her new position, Morris will be responsible for assisting with coordinating and tracking the work of the President’s Executive Cabinet on Institute strategic priorities, and the president’s priorities and objectives. She will also oversee and manage office operations for the Office of the President.
Morris joined Rensselaer from AWESCO in Albany, where she served since 2008 as strategic project manager. In that capacity, she provided executive support to the president and CEO, oversaw and directed marketing campaigns, and managed strategic project plans and company events.
Prior to AWESCO, Morris served for more than five years as spokesperson for the office of New York State Governor George Pataki. That role entailed media relations, overseeing a staff of information officers, and strategic planning. “I am confident that her experience and skills will serve us well and bring excellent results in her new position at Rensselaer,” said President Jackson in making the announcement.
Morris earned a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and a master’s degree from the State University of New York.
