The brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at Rensselaer received multiple awards at their international conference, held in July at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix. The chapter was recognized for public affairs programming and campus involvement, and also received the award for the best recruitment video of the 2009-2010 academic year. The video is available for viewing at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HheqdvpukmY.
Several Rensselaer staff and faculty facilitated educational programming at the conference, including John Minasian, vice president and dean of Rensselaer at Hartford, Roger Grice ’87, clinical professor in the department of language, literature, and communication, and Ray Lutzky ’02, associate director of enrollment.
Additionally, A. Michael Morganti ’84 was elected to Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity’s prestigious Order of Merit, the highest achievement the international organization offers for volunteer alumni service. Morganti has served on the board of directors of the Lambda Chi Alpha Housing Corporation for more than 20 years, and was involved in the initial planning and construction of Lambda Chi Alpha’s current house at 200 Sunset Terrace. Fewer than 350 alumni out of more than 270,000 initiates have received the fraternity’s Order of Merit.
