Undergraduate Research Symposium

The first annual Undergraduate Research Symposium was held on April 27 to showcase undergraduate research at Rensselaer. The event, sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Education, was held in the Darrin Communications Center and featured 70 participating groups with both oral and poster presentations. All five of the schools at Rensselaer had student participants in the event.

Teams of faculty judges scored several of the 42 posters or attended one of four sessions of oral presentations. The presenters for the winning entries received a cash award and a certificate. Winners were chosen in the following categories:
