Lambda Chi Alpha Centennial Conclave
Lambda Chi Alpha at Rensselaer hosted students from nearly a dozen other campuses last weekend for a celebration of the fraternity’s 100th anniversary. The Northeast Centennial Conclave included educational workshops, tours, lectures, and opportunities for brothers to enjoy meals and free time together.

The welcome address for the conference was delivered by James Ljunglin ’57, ’61 Ph.D., former Alumni Inter-Greek Council president and member of Zeta Psi Fraternity. The event concluded with a centennial banquet to celebrate 100 years of Lambda Chi Alpha, with a keynote by John Minasian, vice president and dean for Rensselaer at Hartford (right).

Participating institutions included Cornell University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Polytechnic University, the University of Maine, the University of New Hampshire, and Boston University. Lambda Chi Alpha was founded in 1909 by Warren A. Cole at Boston University, and the chapter at Rensselaer was chartered in 1937.
