In February, the Upsilon Chapter of Delta Tau Delta was honored at the fraternity’s divisional conference in Pittsburgh. Members of the Rensselaer chapter were recognized for Campus Involvement; Rush, Recruitment and Retention; and Shelter Cleanliness. Casey O’Hara ’10 (Architecture) was awarded the Outstanding Chapter President in the Eastern region. In addition, the fraternity was given a Court of Honor recognition, which identifies the top 20 chapters (out of 128 in the nation).
“This confirms that the strong programs such as shelter management, stewardship, recruitment, finances, academics, campus relations, and the foundation of them all, brotherhood, are as strong as can be found in Delta Tau Delta fraternity,” said Doug Bartow, house corporation president. The chapter will celebrate its 130th anniversary at Rensselaer this fall. It has set a goal to be in the top 10 chapters and win the fraternity’s Hugh Shields Award.
