Student Leaders Clambake

President Shirley Ann Jackson, along with members of the President’s Cabinet, hosted the annual Student Leaders Clambake on Sunday, Nov. 8 at the historic Dutch barn in the Rensselaer Technology Park. More than 70 student leaders attended.

“As leaders of student government, Greek organizations, Union clubs and organizations, the Poly, Red and White, the Office of Minority Student Affairs, Student Orientation, Residence Life — and so much more — your work, and your visions, have a profound and lasting impact upon the university as a whole, and upon hundreds of individual students,” said President Jackson.

“Opportunities to learn about, and to practice, leadership abound at Rensselaer. We know that leadership development must be an integral part of a top-flight technologically-rooted education. The leadership experiences you gain here will serve you well.

“I wish, personally, to thank you, for all that you do throughout the year. Your commitment to Rensselaer, and to your fellow students — particularly in light of all the demands upon your time — is wonderful.”
