Athletics Launches Enhanced Coverage

The Rensselaer Athletics Department has launched its new Twitter page to go along with its new-look YouTube Channel and Facebook pages. In addition, a number of sports have been added to the school’s B2 Network schedule, including women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, and potential men’s soccer playoff games.

The new Twitter page allows fans to get the latest news and headlines from Rensselaer Athletics delivered right to their home computers or mobile devices, with links to the story on To follow the Twitter page, log on to and click on “follow.” You must have an account with Twitter to follow. Registration is free.
Rensselaer’s YouTube Channel has also seen an upgrade and will continue to show game highlights from a number of events throughout the season. New in 2009-10 will be post-game interviews with coaches and student-athletes and other videos related to Rensselaer Athletics.

Facebook will continue to be a part of the Engineers’ social networking, giving student-athletes, alumni, and community members a place to catch up on the latest from Rensselaer Athletics. As is the case with Twitter, a free account through Facebook is needed to join. The page can be found at

The B2 Networks, a pay-per-view service that allows fans to watch Engineers games live from anywhere in the world, will be adding select women’s soccer and men’s and women’s basketball games to its 2009-10 schedule. Coverage of the seventh-ranked men’s soccer team will potentially be available as well.
