Women's Basketball Team Shares Tips
The women’s basketball team, led by Coach John Greene, took time out of their busy schedules in November to run a clinic for the Tamarac Girls Biddy Team at Tamarac Elementary School. Players Whitney Coleman, Lauren Hayes, Katie Hansan, Elizabeth Barker, Ellen High, Sarah Wetmore, Allison Connor, Caitlyn Charest, Kerry Hayes, Amanda Brophy, Hillary McKinley, Nicole Monroe, and Laura Easterling visited with the girls and showed them some of their own scrimmage techniques.

“It was an experience the girls will never forget, especially since this is the first year they have played the sport,” said Susie Washock, operations associate in the Student Health Center and the wife of the Tamara Girls Biddy Team’s coach. Coach Greene also extended an invitation for the girls to attend Rensselaer’s first home game (which they won 83-63 against Albany College of Pharmacy). “The parents and I thank Coach Greene and the RPI team for all that they did for our girls’ first year experience in basketball,” said Washock. “This is something that had not happened in Tamarac before and coaches of all stages are impressed with RPI and their entire women's basketball team.”
