Greek Leadership Summit Held
On Jan. 26, leaders of Rensselaer’s fraternity and sorority community met for the Greek Leadership Summit, a daylong conference at the Heffner Alumni House. The program was sponsored by the Alumni Inter-Greek Council (AIGC), a committee of the Rensselaer Alumni Association. It served as a forum for new chapter presidents to discuss their common concerns, and for the new leadership of Rensselaer’s Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Association to meet with the AIGC.

Presenters included Dean of Students Mark Smith, Geoff Seber from the Office of Alumni Relations, and AIGC board members Jerry Witter ’82 and Ray Lutzky ’02. The keynote address was delivered by John Minasian, vice president and dean for Rensselaer at Hartford. “We hope to continue to create opportunities like this for our undergraduate leaders to meet with our alumni,” said Roger A. Grice, Ph.D. ’87, president of the AIGC. “By fostering unity among our chapters and councils, and building mentor relationships between alumni and students, we are ensuring the future of our fraternity and sorority community.”

The event was co-sponsored by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs and the Office of Alumni Relations.
