The popularity and taste for new and original fare continues to make its way onto the Rensselaer campus, by way of Terra Café, a Rensselaer student organization that dishes up a weekly selection of local and organic meals, desserts, and beverages every Wednesday afternoon in the Russell Sage Dining Hall.
To please the palates of socially conscious students, faculty, staff, and members of the surrounding community, on Nov. 14, the students hosted a free event highlighting several signature snacks, desserts, and beverages from the Troy Farmer’s Market. More than 100 people attended the event that was held in Mother’s Wine Emporium in the Rensselaer Union. The event also featured live jazz performances and games. The following day, students and other members of the campus community trekked downtown to the Farmer’s Market to purchase items that were sampled the night before.
