VIBRATIONS:  A Celebration of the African American Spirit
In honor of Black History Month, the Shelnutt Gallery and the Black Students Alliance are hosting an exhibit that includes photographs of African American dancers from the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival Collection; “African American Heritage in the Upper Housatonic Valley,” featuring materials from the collected papers of W.E.B. Du Bois; a showing of the film Dance Black America; and
paintings by contemporary American artist Glenn Tunstull.

This celebration exhibit will be up through March 31 in the Rensselaer Union, Room 3606 (Shelnutt Gallery). An opening reception will be held Friday, Feb. 8, 4-7 p.m. It is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Rensselaer Union at 276-6505.
