A Banner Year for Spring Sports
Nineteen student-athletes from four of Rensselaer’s spring teams recently earned All-Liberty League honors, including 12 who made their respective First Team. Among the honorees were senior Joe Zongol (pictured), who was named the Pitcher of the Year in baseball, and freshman Jen Bach, who garnered Rookie of the Year in softball.

Zongol was one of seven First Team selections from the 16th-ranked baseball team. Joining him were seniors Ken Carroll and Dan Valentine, juniors Sean Wilkes and Andrew Novick, and sophomores Camden Mamigonian and Patrick Reardon.

Bach, along with fellow freshman Felicia Bua, joined senior Beth Gargon and juniors Julianne Bass and Sara Finkbeiner on the First Team from softball. Senior Logan Russell and freshman Alysa Rochminski (whose mom, Pam, works at Rensselaer) were named to the Second Team.

Seniors Nick Casale and Mike Sampson and juniors Josh Secora and Ryan DeJordy made All-League Second Team from men’s lacrosse.

Sophomore Sam Fennessey earned Second Team honors in women’s lacrosse.
