On Nov. 26, 2007, the Omega-Mu chapter of the Order of Omega at Rensselaer inducted new members for the fall 2007 term. The Order of Omega is a national honor society for fraternities and sororities, with more than 400 chapters across the country. Honorees were selected for their outstanding involvement within their fraternities and sororities, as well as involvement in the Rensselaer community. Those inducted were also required to demonstrate academic leadership and a commitment to service. New members are presented with a silver omega lapel pin that is worn at formal occasions, and a certificate of membership from the national offices of the Order of Omega.
The honor society also inducted one honorary member, James G. Nondorf, vice president for enrollment and dean of undergraduate and graduate admissions, in appreciation for his work with fraternities and sororities since his arrival on campus. |
