The 13th annual Robert Resnick Lecture was given this year by Ambassador Ted Braithwaite, author of To Sir, With Love. The lecture was titled “Sydney Poitier’s Link to Physics? To Sir, With Love by Physicist E. R. Braithwaite.” The multitalented physicist, author, ambassador, and professor spoke about his journey from Guyana to Cambridge, to RAF pilot to teacher, to author to research scientist, to UN Ambassador to playwright to professor, and he reflected on the role of his base in physics in his many diverse careers. |
