For many years, it has been a tradition at the Shelnutt Gallery to celebrate Latino Heritage Month with an art exhibition. The artists have been from New York and several surrounding states. This year’s exhibit features artists Patricia Cestero, a Troy resident and sculptor who is showing her “Poesten Kill Impressions,” and Michael Lavin Flower of Lee, Mass., who is exhibiting a collection of photographs taken from 1997 through 2001, titled “Cuba: A Conflict of History.”
The exhibit, co-sponsored by Rensselaer’s Alianza Latina club, will remain up through Nov. 30.
