Though some of the dining areas are closed for the summer, there are still a number of food-service options on campus for members of the Rensselaer community.
The Library Café will be open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. each weekday. Stop by for some fresh lemonade, a cinnamon pretzel, or a Philly cheese steak sandwich on a toasted hoagie roll. Also, choose from an assortment of ice cream bars to take the edge off the summer heat.
Java ++, the campus coffee house located on College Avenue, will be open Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; closed on Sundays. On Wednesdays, look for $1 iced coffee specials.
The McNeil Room in the Rensselaer Union will be open Monday through Friday 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and 4:30-7 p.m. For weekly menus and specials, go to http://rpihospitalityservices.com.
If leaving the office isn’t an option, you might want to try the Hospitality Express service. Visit http://rpihospitalityservices.com/cater_express.html for more details.
Hospitality Services will be renovating Father’s Marketplace, due to reopen in late summer. The facility will feature enhanced offerings, new services, and a new décor. During the renovation, you can still visit Father’s temporary location inside the games area of the Rathskeller.
