The Venture Bplan Series
The Venture Bplan Series is a collaboration of the Center for Economic Growth (CEG) and Rensselaer’s Emerging Ventures Ecosystem (EVE).
This regularly-scheduled forum at RPI's Heffner Alumni House is designed for entrepreneurs to get visibility to the region's angel and institutional investors, business service providers, advisors, students, faculty, alumni and the early stage business community.
The forum is a great place for newly formed start-up companies to make their first public appearance. Up to two businesses will be selected to present in front of a panel of investors, entrepreneurs, business leaders and the general public at each meeting.
Following a 15 minutes PowerPoint presentation the panel will ask the presenter questions and provide feedback.

Presenters:
Hocus Locus
Zach Wurz
HocusLocus is pioneering a trans-RNA switching mechanism called “structurally interacting RNAs” (sxRNA). sxRNA makes it possible to deliver desired proteins to cells of specific tissues, disease states, and development stages by taking advantage of both post-transcriptional regulation processes and the unique expression profiles of non-coding RNAs, such as micro RNAs. The ability to target and control expression of a protein in-vivo using RNA, rather than DNA, opens up new possibilities for molecular tools, therapeutics, vaccines, and imaging applications
CellSepaTech, LLC
Hisham Mohamed
CellSepaTech, LLC is a biotechnology company that seeks to capture and isolate rare cancer cells circulating in the blood in order to enable their molecular analysis.
