Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC)
The Third Annual National Manufacturing Day is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, 2014 and this year it will take place in the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) Theatre and Entryway. This year’s program will have a special keynote speaker, Jeremy Bout, a nationally renowned, inspirational presenter. Jeremy Bout will creatively encourage students to consider getting involved in manufacturing. Jeremy Bout has hosted both live and virtual events attended by tens of thousands of educators, industry leaders and students across North America. Jeremy's enthusiasm and media rich presentations inspire the manufacturing leaders of today and recruit the leaders of tomorrow. This presentation will be available for a live audience, as well as streamed live to surrounding school districts. As part of his presentation, Jeremy Bout will moderate a panel discussion with recent graduates of RPI who are working in manufacturing.

The panel discussion will be followed by another opportunity for participants to circulate through several exhibits within the entryway of EPAC of Rensselaer student organizations such as Rensselaer Formula Hybrid Vehicle, Rensselaer Motor Sport, Aeronautical - Design, Build, Fly, the Manufacturing Innovation Learning Labs whereby the students will showcase their RPI manufacturing related projects.
Following the program, student attending the presentation at Rensselaer will be invited to circulate through the Rensselaer’s Manufacturing Lab Tours. Rensselaer is also working with the Chief Executive Network for Manufacturing of the Capital Region, Inc. to schedule manufacturing facility tours for local school districts that register for the online event.
