The Fifth Annual National Manufacturing Day will take place on Friday, October 14, 2016 in the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) on Rensselaer’s campus. This year’s program showcases keynote speaker Ryan Patry, Manager of Manufacturing Technology for Manufacturing Engineering at Sikorsky Aircraft and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute alumnus. Mr. Patry will use his time on stage to speak about his experiences in manufacturing, and the importance of this innovative and versatile field in terms of the current national climate and future generations. Through this engaging and inspired talk, Ryan Patry will bring a unique view of American manufacturing to a live audience of over 250 high school students.
The presentation will be followed by an opportunity for participants to join undergraduate-led team
groups, and tour through Rensselaer manufacturing facilities and student organization exhibits. Lab tours
will focus on Rensselaer manufacturing initiatives throughout campus.
