Technical Program
Wednesday and Thursday, October 22-23, 2008
The first two days were a technical program with technical presentations and discussions focusing on the application and computational methods in areas such as biotechnology & healthcare, energy & environment, and nano-materials & semiconductors. The presentations by representatives from universities, industry, and research laboratories from across New York State covered issues ranging from the computing and simulation technologies being developed, to a number of the key application areas of HPC, to the role of HPC in the development of new high technology businesses.
Executive Summit
Friday, October 24, 2008
The final half day was an executive summit that discussed the importance of advances in the application of high performance computation and the connection to economic development. Leading representatives from universities, industry, government, and research laboratories from across New York State made brief remarks followed by a panel discussion.
