Goal: Study
super-Yang-Mills using Domain Wall Fermions, with large enough lattices and high enough
statistics to extrapolate to the continuum limit.
Facilities: The Computational Center for Nanotechnology Innovations (CCNI). We are currently exploiting some of the 16 BlueGene/L racks that are available to us at this facility, which was built as a partnership between Rensselaer, IBM and New York State. Performance: Our most recent runs have used 5 racks. With each rack providing 5.6 TFlop/s, and software built on modification of the Columbia Physics System, which has approximate 20% sustained utilization, our simulations are presently achieving an actual computation rate of 5.6 TFlop/s.
