The Gateway would be lost without our many loyal, hard-working, volunteers. In the past few years, over 150 volunteers have:

  • helped to staff Troy’s RiverSpark Visitor Center.
  • performed a myriad of clerical and maintenance tasks at the Burden Iron Works.
  • led tours.
  • participated in the Troy FallFest.
  • participated in the Victorian Stroll.
  • helped make the annual Gala a success.

Volunteer Spotlight

One exemplary volunteer is the secret behind the popular silent auction at our Galas. With breathtaking energy, Claire Davis has doggedly solicited donations, overseen the preparation of necessary paperwork, supervised the tasteful arrangement of the auction displays, and staffed the collection tables. To be sure, several others have helped her, but she has been the undisputed linchpin of the whole affair, netting upwards of a hundred items per Gala and nearly two thousand dollars in revenue.

Who says one person can’t make a difference in the community?
